Edna Calcote, 104, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Friday, October 26, 2012 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2012 at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, Missouri. Visitation 1:00-1:30 p.m. at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville.

Edna was born June 5, 1908 in Cullman, Alabama, the daughter of Henry and Emmer (Linton) Sachs. She married Lester C. Calcote on January 12, 1932. Edna had lived in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas before moving to Bates County. She moved to Harrisonville in 1983. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lester in 1972, two sisters and a grandson. She is survived by one daughter, Dianne Thompson and her husband, Thomas of Freeman, Missouri; 1 great-grandson, Aaron and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Madison and Taylor.
