Edith Schmoll, 103, Belton, MO, died Monday, May 25, 2009 at Beautiful Savior Home in Belton, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009 with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO. Burial will be in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Southfork Baptist Church or to the Beautiful Savior Home in Belton, MO.
Edith was born April 8, 1906 near Lisle, MO, the daughter of Elem Thomas and Sallie (Lacy) Morrison. She graduated from 8th grade at Calvert School. She married Dacy H. Schmoll on February 15, 1933. She had lived in Cass County her entire life.
Edith was baptized at an early age and was a life-long member of Southfork Baptist Church in Drexel, MO. Edith had been the church pianist for many years.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dacy, on January 5, 1965, five brothers, Ray, Ralph, Richard, Louis and Lacy Morrison. She is survived by three children, Morris Schmoll and his wife, Nancy, Peculiar, MO, Evelyn Livingston and her husband, Gurnest, Peculiar, MO and Marilyn Walters and her husband, Bobby, Dennison, TX; a nephew she raised, Garland Morrison and his wife, Maxine, Drexel, MO; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-niece.
