Dwight "Sonny" Dudley Darr, Jr., 84, Harrisonville, MO, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Redwood of Raymore in Raymore, Missouri.  A memorial visitation, with military honors,  was held  Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.

Sonny was born November 12, 1935 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Dwight D., Sr. and Delores Edna (Barber) Darr.  He was a U. S. Army veteran.  Sonny had lived in Washington, Arizona and Kansas City, MO prior to his declining health.  Sonny had worked for the Ball Foster Glass Company in Washington as an inspector and packer.  He had also worked for Anheuser-Busch for three years and had even driven the "Miss Budweiser" racing hydroplane.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, nephew, Rick Erisman and a niece, Jacque Montgomery.  He is survived by a sister, Jeanne Boyd; four daughters, Pamela Hebert (John), University Place, WA, Marcela Helms, Kent, WA, Andrea Baudo (George), Kent, WA, Gina Darr, West Palm Beach, FL; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces, Becky Matthews (caregiver), Lori Sierks, Patty Emery, and great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
