Obituary
Dustin Lee Craig, 21, Adrian, MO, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Adrian with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Craig Children Trust Fund.
Dustin was born May 13, 1987 in Clinton, MO, the son of Thomas Allen and Dena Marie (Richardson) Craig. He lived in Windsor, MO and Lawson, MO before moving to Adrian. Dustin worked in numerous fields, including roofers local #20 and laborers local #1290 on underground utilities, remodeling and auto body repairs.
Dustin was a father of four children, Kelsey, 3, Dakota, 2, Vince, 1 and Grace 3 months. His children were the light of his life. He enjoyed spending time with them and his family. He also enjoyed riding dirt bikes, hunting and fishing with friends. He always had fun at family gatherings, playing football and horseshoes. He enjoyed cooking, but often the outcome of his creations was not met with open plates! Dustin also liked all types of music and watching movies in the comfort of his home with others. He always helped out others. Often times he would stop and help someone carry in groceries from their car, give them a jump-start or change a tire. He loved his children and his family. Dustin was the light of his mother's eye, often confiding in her his deepest thoughts.
Dustin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas Craig, his grandmother, Phyllis Sinkhorn and his grandfather, Bill Sinkhorn. He is survived by his four children, Kelsey, Dakota, Vince and Grace; Amanda Stipandich, the mother of Dakota, Vince and Grace and his long-time girlfriend; his mother and stepfather, Dena and Billy Sinkhorn, Adrian, MO; his father, Tom Craig, Butler, MO; his grandmother, Vera Mizner, Adrian, MO; grandfather, Norman Richardson, Gravois Mills, MO; grandmother, Thelma Craig, Butler, MO; two sisters and a brother-in-law, April Craig, Kansas City, MO, Brandi and Bryan Baxley, Liberty, MO; his half-sister, Jayda Craig, Warrensburg, MO and stepbrother, Spencer Sinkhorn, Liberty, MO, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be deeply missed by all, especially by his mother.
