Dustin Bradley Amos, 52, of Adrian, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, April 06, 2024 at 1 PM at the Adrian Christian Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Adrian Scout Troop 238, Cure SMA and March of Dimes.
Dustin was born September 26, 1971 to Donald and Marsha (Enos) Amos in Butler, MO. He grew up on the family farm west of Adrian, where he learned a strong work ethic working alongside his dad and Papa in their farming and cattle operations. He attended Miami school and was a member of the graduating class of 1990. He worked for years with Adrian Plumbing before working at Bella Flora in Harrisonville, MO, and Elmwood Reclaimed Lumber in Peculiar, MO. Dustin had a love for the outdoors and respect for nature. He had a passion for searching for and collecting unusual rocks and fossils, and had a great knowledge of geology and the history of the earth. He was a talented artist, a trait he passed on to his son, Thomas. He enjoyed grilling and smoking meats for family meals. Dustin was mild mannered and easy going. He was a devoted father, son, and brother; as well as, a loyal friend.
Dustin is preceded in death by his grandparents: Charles "Tom" and Sarah Amos; and Frank and Mary Enos; his uncle, Frank Enos II; his aunt, Mary Kathleen Williams; and three cousins: Travis Enos, Carson Elmer, and Brooklyn Enos. He is survived by his son, Thomas Amos; parents, Don and Marsha Amos; sister, Melanie Bays; paternal birth grandmother, Bonnie Vannattan; niece, Ashton Lilley, and her children, Oliver and Elliot Underwood, and Mira Lilley; nephew, Ashby Bays; and a large host of uncles, aunts and cousins.
