Dorothy Mae Setser, 78, Harrisonville, MO, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Camden Health Care Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Burial will be in Belton Cemetery, Belton, MO.

Dorothy was born Friday, May 15, 1931 in Jefferson, IA, the daughter of Roger Snibley and Mary Louise (McCarville) Marquis. She married Fred W. Setser on May 6, 1950 in Kansas City, MO.

Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Belton, MO. She had lived in Belton for over 50 years before moving to Harrisonville.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred on March 7, 2007 and two brothers, Robert and Richard Marquis. She is survived by three sons, David Alan Setser of Peculiar, MO, Michael Wayne Setser of Raymore, MO and Michael Anthony Golden Setser of Harrisonville, MO; two daughters, Teresa Ann Lightle of Peculiar, MO and Pamela Gail Herzog of Jones, OK; one sister, Mildred Ione Oxley of Independence, MO; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Jennifer, Robbie, Chris, Amanda, Kevin and Valerie and three great-grandchildren, Riley, Dagon and Peyton.
