Dorothy D. Adams, 86, Liberty, MO, died Saturday, February 14, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 19 at the Freeman Presbyterian Church, Freeman, MO. Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Luke Presbyterian Church or to the Freeman Presbyterian Church.
Dorothy was born October 21, 1922 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of George and Mary (Kosanovick) Schuman. She married Harry Adams on November 1, 1947 in Kansas City, KS.
Dorothy grew up in Kansas City, KS, moving to Freeman in 1976 and to Gladstone, MO in 1990. She was a member of St. Luke Presbyterian, NKC, MO. She was a homemaker.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Harry, of the home; one son, Richard Adams, Kearney, MO; two daughters, Marilyn Massard, Highlands Ranch, CO and Marsha Clapp, Brazoria, TX; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
