Doris Jane Taylor, 77, Harrisonville, MO, died Sunday, January 29, 2017 at her home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1 at Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.

Doris was born September 17, 1939 in Harrisonville, MO, the daughter of James Dewey and Cora Elva (Shook) Taylor. She grew up in Harrisonville and later moved to Hacienda Heights, California. She returned to Harrisonville in 1978. Doris worked as a secretary for the Red Cross Offices in Kansas City, MO. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents and 12 brothers and sisters. She is survived by one sister, Donna Taylor, Harrisonville, MO; great-nephews, Rob Morris and Kenny Morris, and a great-great-nephew, Jacob Morris, all of Harrisonville; great-niece, Kristy DeMaranville, great-great-nephew, Dakota DeMaranville, great-great-niece, Shyla DeMaranville, all of Harrisonville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
