Doris Marie Roth, 77, Harrisonville, MO, died Friday, June 2, 2017 at Golden Years Care Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with burial in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, MO.

Doris was born July 12, 1939 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Arthur and Marie A. (Sexton) Foster. Doris was a graduate of Kansas City, MO High School. She married Rudolph "Rudy" P. Roth on August 18, 1956 in Kansas City, MO.

Doris had worked in the cafeteria for the Blue Valley School District. She was a member of the Dixie Diamonds Square Dance Club, and had been the PTA president for several years when her children were in school. She loved to travel and go on cruises, her favorite being Hawaii.

Doris was preceded in death by parents, and one brother, James Foster. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Rudy, Harrisonville, MO; one son, Ron Roth (Gloria), Harrisonville, MO; one daughter, Sheryl Turley (David), Kansas City, MO; one brother, Roy D. Foster, Keystone Heights, FL; 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Justin and Kayla, and 3 great-grandchildren, Emily, Kathryn, and Riley.
