Doris Ann Danforth, 82, Harrisonville, MO, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville.  Funeral services were held Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.  Burial  in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Doris was born October 31, 1936 in Archie, MO, a daughter of Charles Ernest and Gertrude Olive (White) Tramill.  She married Kenneth Wayne Danforth on November 14, 1953.  Doris was a Christian, was baptized at an early age in Archie, MO, and later at the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville.  She read her Bible daily and taught Sunday school for many years at the Berean Chapel Assembly of God in Harrisonville.

Doris had always worked alongside Kenny and as the bookkeeper at their business, Kenny's Service.  She had worked as a bus driver for the Harrisonville Schools, in housekeeping at the Harrisonville Medical Center, and as a cook for Halfway.  She also worked with Pat Meyer on various jobs and they volunteered together at the Harrisonville Ministerial Alliance Thrift Shop.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Kenny Danforth, on January 16, 2012, one sister, Betty Orent, and a son, Clarence.  She is survived by two sons, Kenneth "Wayne" Danforth, Jr. and Harold Eugene Danforth (Jolene), all of Harrisonville, MO; two daughters, Connie Leann Danforth-Brakebill, Bolivar, MO, and Roberta "Bert" Danforth-Erisman (Ron); grandchildren, Michelle Mickelberry (Travis), Steven Danforth, Rickey Green, Jamilee Sheffer, Brooke Ferguson (Kenny), Kenneth Strutton, Jeremy Strutton, Christian Allega, Chelsea McDaniel and River Erisman; great-grandchildren, Raigen Mickelberry, Brycen Mickelberry, Dakoda Rei Allen, Ayden Allen, Jacqueline Sheffer, Charlie Sheffer, Rayden McDaniel, Brayden Ferguson, and Jeremy Strutton, Jr.

Doris will live forever in our hearts with Jesus, Dad, and her son, Clarence.
