Doris Ann Call, 78, of Urich, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. A memorial visitation was held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Doris was born on November 1, 1947, in Widewater, Virginia, a daughter of Jack and Elsie Mae (Luckett) Graves. Her family moved to Missouri when she was young and she lived in various towns in the area growing up. She was united in marriage to Richard Eugene Call on December 28, 1962, at the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville. They had lived in the Harrisonville area before settling in Urich twenty-five years ago.

Doris worked as a nurse's aide, was very generous with her time and nurses training, and had worked at most of the nursing facilities in the area. She also took care of people needing help in her own home. They lived with her so she could provide 24-hour care as needed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Richard, who passed away December 22, 2018. Doris is survived by a son, Darryl Call, of Harrisonville, MO; two daughters: Tineka Parrott and husband, Harold, of Peculiar, MO; and Cheryl Call of Urich, MO; a brother, Pete Colvin, Kansas City, MO; three sisters: Sheila James and husband, Lawrence, Kansas City, MO; Lou Colvin, Lamar, MO; and Gina Colvin, Lamar, MO; six grandchildren: Stachia Johnson (Ethan), Dustin Parrott, Jordan Parrott, Tylyne Johnson (Ryan), Molly Rose (Caleb), and Caleb Call; and 6 great-grandchildren: Paisleigh, Cordell, JoLynn, Kinley, Drew, and Briar.
