Doris Alene (Williams) Bunger, 96, Camdenton, MO, died Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Camdenton Windsor Estates in Camdenton, MO, 2019, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.  Funeral services were held September 25, 2019 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO.  Burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Doris was born May 8, 1923 in Garden City, MO to Foy and Iva Lee (O'Dell) Williams.  The family relocated to a farm in Freeman, MO for many years, until the drought drove them to move to the city of Harrisonville, MO in the early 1940's.  Doris met a young marine, Wayne Ellis Bunger, returning home to Harrisonville from WWII.  They fell in love and married on April 2, 1949.  They shared 43 years together until his death on March 8, 1992.

They were members of First Baptist Church, East Lynne, MO.  After Wayne's death, Doris attended The Worship Center in Harrisonville.  She moved to Camden County in October, 1997 to make her home with her daughter and son-in-law, attending First Baptist Church in Macks Creek, MO.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Foy and Iva (O'Dell) Williams, three brothers, Warren, Harold, and J. J. Williams, husband, Wayne Ellis Bunger, a son, Timothy Wayne Bunger, a granddaughter, Leisa Renee Bettis, and a niece, Kristine Renee Williams.  She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Sue Morrison and Iva Mae Bettis and her husband, Jessie; 4 grandchildren, Lee Ann (Bettis) Lich, Linda (Bettis) Kramer, Jessie Wray Bettis, Nikki (Heard) Starforth; 11 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-great-grandchildren.
