Doris Jean Brewster, 60, of Oak Grove, MO, formerly of Raymore, MO, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021 at her home in Oak Grove. No services are scheduled at this time.

Doris was born November 6, 1960 in Kansas City, MO, a daughter of Eugene Arthur and Betty Jo (Smith) Derby. Doris was a 1978 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School and had lived in Cass County, MO most of her life until moving to Oak Grove last year.

Doris was a registered nurse and received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City.  She had worked at St. Luke's Hospital and Research Medical Center before her retirement.  She was united in marriage to Darrel B. Brewster February 9, 1984 in Cass County, MO.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Darrel, on September 2, 2019.  She is survived by a son, Jacob (Katrina) Brewster, Raymore, MO; a daughter, Jessica Estes, Oak Grove, MO; two brothers, Greg Derby, Peculiar, MO, and Fred Derby, Bolivar, MO; one sister, Denise Williamson, Kingsville, MO, and three grandchildren, Drake, Evelyn, and Bentley.
