Obituary
Donnis Mae McCarty, 95, Gravois Mills, Missouri, died Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Laurie Care Center in Gravois Mills. Services were held Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO.
Donnis was born April 7, 1920 in Archie, MO, the daughter of Jesse A. and Arvilla (Breshears) Miller. She graduated from Grandview High School and attended Huff Business College. On May 3, 1939, she was united in marriage to John Thomas McCarty. She lived in the Kansas City area most of her life, living in Peculiar from 1979-1996.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by two sons, Mark McCarty, and his wife, Sherry, of Wentzville, MO and John McCarty of Costa Rica; four grandchildren, Jennifer McCarty, Matt McCarty, John McCarty and Jason McCarty; and three great-grandchildren.
