Donna June Drake, 80, Blue Springs, Missouri, died Monday, January 4, 2016 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence. Funeral services were held January 11, 2016 at the Blue Springs Christian Church in Blue Springs, Missouri. Burial in Orient Cemetery Harrisonville, Missouri, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Donna was born November 5, 1935 in McGehee, Arkansas, the daughter of Ester Lee (Nowell) and Ralph Shaw. She was a graduate of Powell, Arkansas High School. Donna married Robert "Red" Lee Drake on December 12, 1969 at Richards Gebaur Air Force Base in Grandview, Missouri.

Donna had lived in Nevada, Missouri before moving to Independence, Missouri in 1977. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi – Blue Springs and the Blue Springs Christian Church. Donna worked for W. Evans as a bookkeeper until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Lee Drake on November 2, 2000, and two brothers, John and James Shaw. She is survived by her children, Robert Lee Drake, Jr., Phyllis Moeller, Stanford, Michigan, Becky Mahoney, Cascade, Idaho, and Derrick Drake, Versailles, Missouri; 9 grandchildren, Amber, Sarah, Beth, Ryan, Tabatha, Sabrina, Michael, Gary, and Cody; several great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
