Donald Lee Wills, 71 of Peculiar, MO, died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville with visitation from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, MO.
Don was born May 15, 1939 in Peculiar, MO, the son of Howard Lee and Abbie Bessie (Ullery) Wills. He attended school in Peculiar and Harrisonville. Don married Mary Elizabeth McMillen on December 11, 1969 in Miami, OK.
Don had lived in the Cass County, MO area most of his life. He worked as a truck driver for the Cass County Road and Bridge before retiring in 1999. He was a member of Antioch Southern Baptist Church. Don liked to play his guitar and sing.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Wilma, Rose, and Oleta, two brothers, Lester (Gene) and Glenn (Hank), four nephews, Luke Young, Gene and Kevin Drehle and Thomas Wills and one niece, Michelle (Mickey) Ray. He is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home; four sons, Terry L. Smith, Belton, MO, Allen Gene Smith, Creighton, MO, Shawn W. Smith, Raymore, MO and Don L. Smith, Harrisonville, MO; one sister, Mary Sue Jessee, Peculiar, MO; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
