Donald Dean Fenton, 78, Harrisonville, MO, died Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at his home.  A celebration gathering was held Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

Don was born May 6, 1940 in Pleasant Hill, MO, the son of Elston Jerry and Hallie (King) Fenton.  He was a 1958 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School.  He moved to Harrisonville in 1956.  Don had worked for Scavuzzo's Grocery Store/Price Chopper in Harrisonville for 38 ½ years before retiring in 2000.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Walter, and one grandson, Derek Reynolds.  He is survived by his wife, Barb, of the home; one son, Douglas Fenton (Tammy Peterson), Garden City, MO; two daughters, Deana Dalton (Gabe), Harrisonville, MO and Diana Harding (Zachary), Palmer, Alaska; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
