Donald "Don" Graham, 68, Garden City, Missouri, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with visitation from 10:30-11:00. Don was born April 4, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Glen O. and Marion Frances (Shipley) Graham. He was a 1965 graduate of Sherwood High School. Don was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Don had worked as a union carpenter and had served in law enforcement for six years, with the Butler, Missouri Police Department, Bates County Sheriff's Office, and the Cass County Sheriff's Office, and had worked for the DEA. He was owner/operator over-the-road truck driver and retired in December 10, 2015. Don enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
Don was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his ex-wife, Klista Graham, Garden City, Missouri; two sons, Kelly Hayden (Jennifer), and Christopher D. Graham (Nicole), all of Pensacola, Florida; two daughters, Robin Butler (Greg), Roseville, California, and Brandi Graham, Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Shirley Carpenter, Garden City, Missouri; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
