Diana Jean Merriweather, 74, Peculiar, MO, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Meadow View of Harrisonville in Harrisonville, MO.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 13500 E. 198 ^th Street in Peculiar, MO.  Inurnment will be held in Cord Cemetery in Cord, AR on July 17, 2021.

Diana was born March 22, 1947 in Kansas City, MO, a daughter of William and May (Johnson) Ruble, II.  She graduated from Belton High School and received her RN degree from Avila College.  Diana married Thomas Booth Merriweather on January 6, 1965.  She had lived in the Kansas City, MO area most of her life.  She had lived in Belton, MO before moving to Peculiar.  Diana worked at a hospital as a registered nurse.  She was a member of St. Sabina Catholic Church in Belton.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Booth Merriweather in September, 1977, one brother, Robert Ruble, and a son, Michael Merriweather.  She is survived by two sons, Thomas Merriweather and Jeff Merriweather, both of Peculiar, MO; one brother, William "Billy" Ruble, III, Belton, MO; two sisters, Linda Davis, Belton and Patricia Liberman, Peculiar; and 2 grandchildren, Kaycee Merriweather and Shawna Merriweather.
