Dennis John Hueser, 81, Harrisonville, MO, died Sunday, November 2, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Funeral services 10:00 AM Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville. Visitation 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, November 5, at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, with Rosary service at 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.

Dennis was born February 24, 1927 in West Point, Iowa, the son of John and Clara (Umthum) Hueser. He married Betty Jean Klingsmith on January 31, 1972.

Dennis was a WWII Army veteran. He had lived in St. Joseph, MO before moving to Harrisonville. Dennis and Betty owned the World of Draperies and Carpet in Harrisonville from 1971-1990. He was a long-time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Faithful Navigator in 4th Degree, and the Harrisonville VFW Post 4409.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty on July 4, 1991 and one sister, Vina Bartlett. He is survived by four sons, Michael Hueser, Overland Park, KS, Robert Hueser, Savannah, MO, Tom Hueser, St. Joseph, MO and Ron McCullough, Overland Park, KS; two daughters, Lisa Hart, St. Joseph, MO and Tammy Tribble, Harrisonville, MO; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
