Dennis R. Culpepper, 58, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 10, 2019.  Dennis was born on August 30, 1960 in Harrisonville, a son of George Washington and Wanda Lee (Adair) Culpepper.  He was a lifelong Harrisonville resident and a 1978 graduate of Harrisonville High School.

Dennis was united in marriage to Johnna Cotton on June 14, 1980 in Harrisonville.  He started working for the City Of Harrisonville in 1988 as a meter reader, and recently retired after 31 years as the Chief Plant Operator at the Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Dennis attended Evangel Church in Kansas City, Missouri and was a member of the Midwest Beekeepers Association.

He was preceded in death by his father, George, in 1980.  He is survived by his wife, Johnna, of the home; his three sons, Justin Culpepper, and wife, Jessica, Lee's Summit, MO, Michael Culpepper, and wife, Leslie, Harrisonville, and Chad Culpepper, and wife, Emma, Harrisonville; his mother, Wanda Culpepper, Harrisonville; a brother, Roger Culpepper, and wife, Denise, Harrisonville; six grandchildren, and one on the way, Nora, Calvin, Eleanor, Elizabeth, Orvis and Bowen; many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service was held  Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Harrisonville Community Church in Harrisonville.   Inurnment in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Benevolent Fund.
