Dennis Begley, 77, of Freeman, Missouri, formerly of Harrisonville, died Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. No services will be held at this time.

Dennis was born November 22, 1943 in Independence, MO, a son of Thomas and Ruth (Croghan) Begley.  He was raised by his step-father, Samuel Drury Gowing and his mother, Ruth.  Dennis lived in Kansas City and Raytown, MO before moving to Harrisonville in 1977.  He worked as a parts manager for Kansas City area car dealerships and owned and operated Serenity Acres Farm Boarding Kennel in Harrisonville for 22 years.  He was a member of the NRA and the Cass County Concerned Citizens.

Dennis is survived by two daughters: Bambi Harris, Cross Timbers, MO; and Lisa Henley (Dan), Blairstown, MO; three grandchildren: Bethany Sutcliffe (John), Freeman, MO; Chrissy Harris (Nick Pence), Raymore, MO; and Joe Henley, Blairstown, MO; and four great-grandchildren: Ethan, Zander, Matthew, and Gracie.
