Denis James Wilson, 61, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at his home with his son, TJ, and daughter-in-law, Jessica, by his side. No formal services will be held at this time. The family plans to honor Denis's memory with a Celebration of Life at a later date and will share details once arrangements are finalized.

Denis was born on November 22, 1963, to Merrill James and Donna Joyce (Flannary) Wilson in Wallowa County, Oregon. He dedicated much of his life to his work as an automotive mechanic, at the time of his passing he was employed at Ethan's Auto Repair in Adrian, MO. Denis was known for his love of the outdoors and cherished the time he spent fishing and hunting, whether alone or accompanied by his boss, Ethan; his son, TJ; or grandson, JJ. Denis was also one of JJ's number 1 fans and would attend most of his baseball and football games, cheering him on from the stands. If you ever got the chance to meet Denis, no matter what he would always show respect by shaking your hand or giving you a hug. As a proud veteran, Denis served in the military for two years before his discharge. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to many who cared for him deeply.

Denis is preceded in death by his parents, Merrill and Donna Wilson. He is survived by his son, Timothy James "TJ" Wilson and TJ's partner, Jessica Brewer; his beloved grandson, Jesse James "JJ" Wilson; his brother, Oscar Wilson; and his sister, Sandra Wilson. Denis's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
