Demetrius "Jim" Anton Kasomenos, 75, Archie, MO, died Thursday, November 30, 2017 at his home. A memorial gathering was held Monday, December 4, 2017 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Archie, MO. Memorial contributions to Harrisonville VFW post # 4409. Inurnment in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.

Jim was born August 7, 1942 in Omaha, NE, the youngest of seven children born to Anton Demetrius and Demetra (Marinos) Kasomenos. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Omaha for 35 years before moving to Archie in 1998. Jim worked in security at the Sprint Campus for 10 years. He was a member of the Harrisonville VFW 4409.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and six sisters. He is survived by one daughter, Angela Baer (Michael), Archie; 5 grandchildren, Alan Michael Kasomenos Baer, Overland Park, KS, Michael Alan Baer, Belton, MO, Brittany Lee Martin, Brennan Michael Baer, and Malayna Nicole Baer, all of Archie, MO, and 1 great-grandchild, Daxton Apollo Baer.
