Della "Bobbe" E. Davis, 87, Kansas City, MO, died Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the Village House, in Lee's Summit, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9 at Blue Ridge Baptist Temple, 10306 Blue Ridge, Kansas City, MO 64134 with visitation from 10:00-11:00 at the church. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Freeman Cemetery in Freeman, MO.
Della "Bobbe" Hutchison was born September 17, 1923 in Enid, OK, the daughter of Elmer and Sara V. (Maypole) Hutchison. Bobbe met her husband of 64 years, George Davis, while he was in the Navy. They were united in marriage on April 21, 1946. She had lived in Kansas City, MO most of her life.
Bobbe spent time as a photographer for Rolland Studios. She also worked at Hillcrest Country Club. The majority of her lifetime was spent as a homemaker and wonderful caregiver to her family, as well as numerous babies she cared for.
Bobbe and George have been members at Blue Ridge Baptist Temple in Kansas City since 1967. She adored her family and friends and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Bobbe loved to share stories of her family through her favorite hobby, photography. She was ahead of her time when it came to all of her "electronics", including her cell phone.
Bobbe was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George, on February 14, 2011. She is survived by one daughter, Terri Vaught, Kansas City, MO; one brother, Donald Estes, Aurora, MO; three grandchildren, Neil Vaught and his wife, Kaycie, Brett Vaught and his wife, Jennifer and Rebekah McLain and her husband, Andrew; two great-grandsons, Ian and Jace Vaught and a great-granddaughter, Kylee Vaught.
