Deanna Lee Powell, 56, Peculiar, Mo, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Mo with burial in Cleveland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Atkinson Funeral Home.

Deanna was born November 25, 1959 the daughter of James Leroy and Mary Jane (Dewess) Phillips. She loved arts and crafts, making Christmas trees, painting knick knacks, working puzzles and taking care of people.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Allen Harting; two brothers, Leroy and Michael Powell; and sister-in-laws, Beverly Moreno and Charlotte Powell. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Becker of the home; siblings Kennard Powell (Barbara) of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, Laura Crigger (Gary Bedford) of Peculiar, Herbert W. Powell of Peculiar, and David Powell (Rebecca) of Adrian, Mo.
