David Kent Woodfin, 55, Harrisonville, MO died Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services were held Monday, June 26 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Care Hospice, 1626 East Elm Street, Harrisonville, MO 64701.

David was born January 20, 1962 in Harrisonville, MO, the son of Dennis Edward and Lois June (Young) Woodfin. He was a 1980 graduate of Grandview High School. David had lived in Harrisonville since 1981. He worked for Sioux Chief Mfg. in Peculiar, MO for 38 years and was a master planner. David loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed going to his lake house on Truman Lake.

David was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Woodfin, a brother, Douglas Edward Woodfin, and his grandparents, Willard and Letha Woodfin and Richard and Ruby Young. He is survived by two sons, Ted Harper, Lee's Summit, MO and Chris Harper, Boise, ID; one daughter, Nikki Long, Harrisonville, MO; his parents, June and George Johnson, Pleasant Hill, MO; two brothers, George Johnson, Peculiar, MO and Bryan Johnson, Harrisonville, MO; two sisters, Denise Fuerst, Harrisonville, MO and Cathie Warrior, Overland Park, KS; 10 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
