David Thomas Rediske, 64, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Christian Hospital in St. Louis, MO. A Memorial Visitation was held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO.

Born on February 23, 1961, in Waverly, Iowa, David was the son of Eldon and Cecile (Bannister) Rediske. Growing up as one of nine siblings, he infused every room with laughter and joy, embodying the spirit of his siblings and friends. After graduating from Waverly-Shell Rock High School, his passion for music blossomed. He taught himself to play the drums, inspired by the legendary sounds of The Beatles and Kiss, and formed his first band, St Lucas, alongside his high school classmates.

In 1982, David ventured to the Kansas City area, where he continued to share his passion for music and food with the community. He worked as the Box Office Manager at Kemper Arena and brought joy to many as he worked on the kitchen staff at his close friend's restaurant, Stone Canyon Pizza, in Gladstone. His musical journey led him to join his last band, Almost Kiss, where he found profound happiness performing for family and friends, especially during memorable moments like headlining the Bremer County Fair in Iowa.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his longtime companion, Carla Budd; his children: Damien, Ryan, Rachel, Taylor, and Lucas: six brothers: Ron, Mike, Tim, Gary, John, and Bob; two sisters: Juliae Brunscheon and Sue Sands; his grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
