David Leroy Paxton, 65, Harrisonville, MO, died Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Saint Luke's Hospital-South, Overland Park, KS. Memorial services were held Saturday, January 20 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, MO, officiated by Rev. John Kukovich, First Christian Church, Garden City, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass Medical Center Foundation.
David was born November 11, 1941 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Clarence Virgil and Mildred (Combs) Paxton. He married Rilla B. Crowder on March 19, 2005 in Las Vegas, NV. David worked as a PBX Operator at Cass Medical Center in Harrisonville for the last seven years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and golfing. He was an avid fan of racecar driving and football.
David was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barb Long. He is survived by his wife, Rilla, of the home; three daughters, Shari Rose, Harrisonville, MO, Pam Hulse, Jennifer Paxton, Olathe, KS; one stepdaughter, Heather Wray, Denver, CO; one stepson, Gary Wray, Jr., Fort Worth, TX; three brothers, Jimmy Paxton, Blue Springs, MO, Paul Paxton and Timothy Paxton, both of Independence, MO; one sister, Gerry Ann Jayne, Roeland Park, KS and six grandchildren.
