David was the third child and first son born to Wilbur Charles and Lois Jean (Hargrave) Hutson on February 2, 1955 in Kansas City, KS. After graduating from Raymore-Peculiar High School in 1973, he worked for a donut shop for nearly a year. Deciding this was not a career move, he enlisted in the Navy for six years. During that time he was a computer electronics engineer aboard the Nimitz. After his stint in the Navy he decided to enroll at Central Missouri State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in electronics. Following his graduation from college, he married Kathy Pruitt. They had a son, James, and a daughter, Jessica. David was so incredibly proud of his children. He always felt they were the only parts of his life that were perfect. David loved his dad so much. He was Dave's lifeline, no matter how far he was from home.
David had worked as an electronics radio tower technician.
David had a big heart and a fragile spirit. David is home now. God has healed his soul and spirit and body at last. We rejoice for David's final glorious journey, but his passing has left a hole in so many hearts of those he left behind.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Lois in December, 1998. He is survived by his father, Wilbur Hutson of Lee's Summit, MO; one son, James Hutson of Peculiar, MO; one daughter, Jessica Hutson of Peculiar, MO; one brother, Dean Hutson of Harrisonville, MO; two sisters, Sherry Staton of Lincoln, MO and Lynn Cartwright of Peculiar, MO and many nieces and nephews.
