David Gene Franks, Jr., 54, Harrisonville, MO died Friday, November 24, 2017 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, MO.  A visitation was held Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.

David was born May 17, 1963 in Moline, IL, the son of David Gene and Joyce Ann (Slininger) Franks, Sr. He married Crista Jolliff on June 10, 1995 in West Plains, MO. David worked as a fiber optics splicer from 1995-2014 and was currently working for Harrisonville Winnelson since 2014. David had lived in Illinois before moving to Arkansas and had lived in Harrisonville since 2007.

David is survived by his wife, Crista, of the home; two sons, Cody Guntner and Christopher VanAlst, Harrisonville, MO; three daughters, Tonya Daniels, Courtney VanAlst and Jessica Franks, Harrisonville; his parents, David and Joyce Franks, Mountain Home, AR; one brother, Richard Franks and one sister, Jody Franks, both of Mountain Home, AR, and 5 grandchildren.
