David Allen Donegan, 51, Harrisonville, MO died Saturday, March 14, 2009 at his home in Harrisonville. A Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. A Prayer Service will be held Monday at 8:00 p.m. at the chapel. David was born July 2, 1957 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Joseph John and Margaret Belle (Beymer) Donegan. He attended Catholic schools and graduated from O'Hara High School in 1976. He married Debra Dawn Riley on February 9, 2001.
David had worked for D. H. Carter Heating and Cooling in Kansas City, MO before moving to Harrisonville and starting his own business in 1996, Donegan Mechanical. David was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He was a lifetime member of NRA.
David had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed target shooting, his Harley and cooking for his family and friends on one of his many grills. He loved being a dad and a grandfather and loved his family very much.
David was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Joseph Donegan, III and brother-in-law, David Wetmore, Sr. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Debbie, of the home; his mother, Margaret Donegan, Harrisonville, MO; three sons, Timmy Salmen and his wife, Missy, Raymore, MO, Kris Salmen, Harrisonville, MO and Joe Donegan and his wife, Amber, Jonesboro, Arkansas; two daughters, Tennyson Salmen, Raytown, MO and Hannah Donegan, Gulfport, MS; two brothers, Chuck Donegan and his wife, Karen, Kansas City, MO and Ed Donegan and his wife, Tina, Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Pat Wetmore, Spring Hill, KS and Loretta Penson, Olathe, KS; three grandchildren, Courtney, Cailli and Langston Salmen.
