Darra Mae Simpson, 84, of Harrisonville, MO, a beloved mother, sister, grandma, and great-grandma, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024 at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. No services are scheduled at this time.

Darra was born on May 25, 1940, in Eldora, IA, the daughter of Darrell and Maxine (Smith) Murray. She married Bruce Simpson on March 1, 1985 at the old Truman Jackson County Courthouse in Independence, MO. She found joy in running a floral shop alongside Bruce, where her children often lent a helping hand. Her passion for flowers extended beyond work as she shared her expertise with the Harrisonville Garden Club and earned the title of master gardener.
