Darlys M. Bremer, 74, Peculiar, MO, died Friday, May 19, 2017 at Golden Years Care Center in Harrisonville, MO. A memorial visitation was held Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Brierly Hall in Peculiar. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, stjude.org.

Darlys was born January 21, 1943 in Harrisonville, MO, the daughter of William Brady and Wanda Marie (Stephens) Todd. She was a 1960 graduate of Harrisonville High School. Darlys worked as a statistician for an insurance company. She was always helping others and opened her home to all kinds of stray animals and children. Darlys was a woman who wasn't afraid to speak her mind.

Darlys was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jon Porter Bremer in 2004. She is survived by one son, David "Spiff" Bremer (Diane Jayne), Dixon, IA; one daughter, Dana Bremer (Ron Allen), Peculiar, MO; 3 grandchildren, Brady Bremer (Kristin), Kirsten Bremer and Jon Bremer, and 3 great-grandchildren, Connor, Shannon, and Laura Jayne.

She is dearly loved and will be missed by many.
