Darlene Rose Schindler, 88, Harrisonville, MO, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville.  Cremation.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Darlene was born September 9, 1931 near Martin City, MO, the daughter of William Henry "Jack" and Nellie Allena (Maxwell) Smith.  She was a 1949 graduate of Harrisonville High School.  Darlene married Clint G. Schindler on October 8, 1950.  She worked as a sales clerk for McLain Bros Electric on the square for 12 years.  She was a life-long resident of Harrisonville and was a member of the Harrisonville Methodist Church.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clint, and a brother, James Smith.  She is survived by two sons, Steven Schindler (Rita) and Rick Schindler (Terri), all of Harrisonville, MO; one brother, Gary Smith (Georgia), Freeman, MO; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Gile (Lon), Harrisonville and Carin Russell (David), Drexel, MO, and two great-grandchildren, Jacob McMahan, Harrisonville and Kayla Russell, Drexel.
