Danny Gerald Richmond 59, of Adrian, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his home in Adrian, Missouri. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, Missouri. Burial was in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian. Memorial contributions may be made to the Danny Richmond Memorial Fund.
Danny was born November 5, 1959 to Junior and Joyce (Green) Richmond in Butler, Missouri. He was the second youngest of six children. He graduated from Adrian High School of Adrian, Missouri 1978. He then worked various different jobs which included working at the Adrian COOP grain elevator, installing insulation with his best friend, Marty Hunholz. Later he joined the Heavy Construction Laborer Union Local 663. He worked there for over 30 plus years at which time he retired in 2017 due to his health not allowing him to do his work.
In the year of 1996, he was baptized on a cold March morning in the family pond becoming a member of the Adrian Restoration Branch of Jesus Christ. He then began serving in the office of Deacon in 2014. Danny enjoyed his hobbies of hunting, shooting pool, playing cards, and most of all shooting his bow. His most joyous times were spent visiting with family and friends, going to eat at Red Lobster and Longhorn Steak house and playing with his grandkids.
Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce. He is survived by his wife, Nan, of 35 years; his father, Junior and Jean Richmond, Hulbert, OK; four children, Sarah and J. Scott Brawley, Lee's Summit, Missouri; Rachel Richmond and Kris Anderson, Blue Springs, Missouri; Terri Richmond, Blue Springs, Missouri; Luke and Christina Richmond, Blue Springs, Missouri; four sisters, Jackie Kooker, Adrian, Missouri; Debra and John Gowie, Hilton Head, South Carolina; Janet and Scott Oates, Adrian, Missouri; Vickie and Greg Chin, Palmdale, California, and one brother Johnny and Brenda Richmond, Adrian, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Carl and Becky Martens, Independence, Missouri and Joel and Beth Martens, Lee's Summit, Missouri; 5 grandchildren; extended family and many friends.
