Snow, the first son of Julian and Ida Snow, was born on April Fool's Day, April 1, 1924. His education at the University of Missouri was interrupted for three years during WWII by service in the U.S. Navy. He was discharged as a lieutenant, j.g. He began his teaching career by accident when he was asked by the Ballard School Board to teach for a year at the high school. He then taught at a one-room school, Bryan, ringing its bell for the last time before its doors were closed forever.
Snow answered the Lord's call, receiving his master's degree from Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. During that time he served as music and youth director at the Baptist Church in Nevada, Texas. He also taught English at the high school there. On his return to Missouri, to be closer to family, Snow farmed and lived with a menagerie of animals. He taught science at Adrian R-III from August 1968 to May 1989. For twenty years, he served as Minister of Music for the Adrian First Baptist Church and in later years he led the singing at the Altona Baptist Church. He was an accomplished pianist and organist.
Snow loved the Lord, his family and friends, his cattle and his dogs, not necessarily in that order. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and his many students.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, brother, nephew and great-nephew. He is survived by his sister and numerous nieces and nephews.
