Corey Lee Urie, 25, Belton, Missouri, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at his home. Services were held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Adrian United Methodist Church, Adrian, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Corey Urie Memorial Fund.
Corey was born August 12, 1990, the son of Chris Urie and Holly (Jenkins) Urie. Corey graduated high school at Adrian High. Corey worked hard and played hard. He was a proud member of Boilermakers Local 83, where he was a journeyman. Corey was a man of many talents. He was an artist, a chef, and a golfer. He loved to hunt, fish, and eat good food. He loved books, movies, art, and music. Corey was well loved by his family and friends and will be remembered for having a life well lived.
Corey is survived by his mother, Holly Urie, Archie, Missouri; his father, Chris Urie and step-mother, Susan Urie, Louisburg, Kansas; his sisters, Cassidy Urie and Chelsea Urie, Columbia, Missouri; his maternal grandparents, Nicky and Kay Jenkins, Archie, Missouri; his paternal grandparents, Linda Bugh, Belton, Missouri and Martin Champlin, Adrian, Missouri, and his paternal great-grandparents, Christine Mayfield, Belton, Missouri and Ralph Mayfield, Warsaw, Missouri.
Corey Lee Urie has left a legacy. He has impacted so many people. We may never know the extent of his generosity or the magnitude of the impact that he made on this world.
