Clyde Lewis Eppard, 88, Versailles, MO, formerly of Harrisonville, MO, died Friday, February 1, 2008 at St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City, MO. Funeral services 12:00 noon Tuesday, February 5 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, MO with visitation 11:00-12:00 at the church. Burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Clyde was born November 23, 1919 in Anderson, MO, the son of Audie F. and Cora E. (Chase) Eppard. He married Margaret Jane Spangler on August 4, 1993.
Clyde worked in maintenance for Solo Cup in Kansas City before retiring. He had lived in Harrisonville, MO for 20 years before moving to Versailles in 2007. He was a member of the Hickman Mills VFW and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville. Clyde was a WWII Navy veteran.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Margaret, of the home; 8 sons, Clyde L. Eppard, Jr., Neosho, MO, Steven "Audie" Eppard, Webb City, MO, Kelly Eppard, Raytown, MO, Keith Stevens, Osceola, MO, Floyd Smith, Nevada, MO, Buck Smith, Osceola, MO, Jude Smith, Overland Park, KS and Edward Smith, Warsaw, MO; 3 daughters, Sherilyn Morgan, Westminster, CO, Leslie Switzer, Adrian, MO and Kathleen Kauffman, Gravois Mills, MO; two sisters, Sally Bond, Goodman, MO and Peggy Olsen, Joplin, MO; 30 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.
