Clyde Velmer Barnard, Jr., 82, Adrian, MO, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at his sister's home in Dayton, MO. Funeral services 10:00 AM Monday, June 2, 2008 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, MO. Visitation 4:00-6:00 PM Sunday, June 1 at the chapel. Burial in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, MO. Clyde was born March 22, 1926 in Cleveland, MO, the son of Clyde Velmer and Kate Christina (Eiffert) Barnard, Sr. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for Twin City Tool Company in Olathe, KS before retiring at age 65. Clyde also raised cattle. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Kathryn and infant sister, Dorothy. Surviving are four brothers, Robert Barnard and his wife, Ruth, James Barnard, Bill Barnard and Ira Barnard and his wife, Bonnie and two sisters, Betty Huggins and herhusband, Milton, and Rose Barnard, all of Cass County, MO.
