Clifford D. Ginnings, 82, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at his home in Harrisonville. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Interment in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, MO.
Cliff was born on April 9, 1942, in Eldridge, MO, the son of Homer and Lucille (Marler) Ginnings. Cliff grew up in Decaturville, MO and later moved to Independence, before making Harrisonville his home in 1964. Cliff married his lifelong love, Maxine "Mackey" Call, on September 8, 1962, in Harrisonville, MO. Together, they created a warm and loving home that welcomed their two sons, Kevin and Dale. Cliff cherished the role of father and later embraced his status as a grandfather for 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with love and pride.
Cliff was known for his unwavering dedication to his family and his strong work ethic. A proud member of the United Steel Workers, he spent 33 years as a skilled welder in the farm equipment industry at Deutz-Allis, retiring in 1997. After retirement, he had the opportunity to work with both sons when he worked for Kevin Ginnings Plumbing Service. He also was a distributor for Travel Guide magazine, which allowed him to travel extensively across the United States with Mackey.
In addition to his professional achievements, Cliff was saved on February 24, 1976; this faith guided him throughout his life and inspired those around him. Cliff was a devoted member and Deacon at East Lynne Baptist Church and later at Heart of Life Church in Garden City, MO. His faith was a guiding force in his life, inspiring those around him with his compassion and generosity.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Pauleen, Maxine, Robert, Karen, Ray, Ralph, Janet Lee, Raymond, and Darrell; and daughter-in-law: Julie. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Mackey, of the home; his sons: Kevin (Jessica) of Harrisonville, MO; and Dale (Cathy Jo) of Excelsior Springs, MO; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and his siblings: Don Ginnings of Excelsior Springs, MO; Chris Ginnings of Lone Jack, MO; Dean Ginnings of Kansas City, MO; Shirley Decker of Lebanon, MO; Sharon Reckman of Liberty, MO; Sherleen Dieleman of Lone Jack, MO; and Questa Lindley of Visalia, CA.
