Cleo Marie Wills, 97, of Harrisonville, MO, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Family inurnment was held Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at the Freeman Cemetery in Freeman, MO.
Cleo was born on May 25, 1926, in Freeman, MO, a daughter of Bryan and Mary (Rinker) Prettyman. Cleo dedicated five decades of her life to Bendix, where she eventually retired as a respected supervisor in 1985. Upon retirement, Cleo found joy in supporting her son's store and cherished every moment spent with her family.
Beyond her professional achievements, Cleo was an exceptional artisan, crafting intricate quilts and delicate needlework that spoke volumes of her creativity and attention to detail. Her kitchen was a place of magic, where she conjured up the most delicious pies, leaving all who tasted them in awe of her culinary skills.
Cleo was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn Wills; her son, Tom Wills; her sisters: Blanche, Margie, Ruby, and Donna; and her brother, Donald Prettyman. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sue Wills; grandsons: Michael (Carla) Wills and Brian (Jennifer) Wills; great-grandchildren: Sydney Wills, Riley Wills, Isabelle Wills, and Jackson Wills; great-great-grandson, Clark; her sister, Billy Knox; as well as, many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
