Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Erickson, 56, Lenexa, KS, died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at her home, surrounded by family and loved ones. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Shawnee, KS, 12800 West 75th Street, Shawnee, KS 66216. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 30 at the church with a rosary service directly after.

Cindy was born November 10, 1955 in Jefferson City, MO, the daughter of Vernel "Lefty" and Lorene (Greenup) Erickson. She was raised in Eldon, MO and was a 1973 graduate of Eldon High School. She graduated from Missouri State in 1977 and received her MBA from Baker University in 2000.

Cindy worked for Grainger Industrial for 18 years as an account manager. Cindy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and showed extreme toughness and courage throughout her entire fight. Cindy will always be remembered for her huge heart and her love for life. She was a loving sister, a tremendous mother, and the best friend to all.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by one son, Scott Sapenaro and his wife, Samantha, Mission, KS; two daughters, Sarah Sapenaro, Overland Park, KS and Jessie Sapenaro, Lenexa, KS; her mother, Lorene Erickson, Eldon, MO; two brothers, Larry Erickson and his wife, Nanette, Eldon, MO and Dennis Erickson and his wife, Karen, Eldon, MO.
