Christopher D. Cable, 51, of Peculiar, MO, drew his last breath Friday, May 18, 2012. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday May 22, 2012 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO, with a visitation from 12:30-2:00pm on Tuesday. Burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Chris was born July 11, 1960 in Versailles, MO to Jack and Glendora (Pryor) Cable. In 1979, his life was changed as he knew it when he met and married Lisa Boone. Together they had 5 children; Brian, Danny, David, Kevin and Christina. 2005 brought much sorrow as Kevin left this world. A part of Chris' heart died that day. Chris talked about Kevin to anyone who would listen.

One thing Chris never wavered on was his faith. He knew the Bible from cover to cover, as he read it daily for several years. There was no lukewarm with Chris. He spoke out against what is wrong. He led our family the best he could, according to God's Word. He was full of wisdom.

Along with his wife and four children, he leaves behind another daughter, Crystal Cook, two grandchildren, Michael and Lacey, his father, Jack Cable and siblings, Carla Cable and Greg Cable. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, whom he loved to spend time with, and the many children who called him Papa, that he loved so very much. Last, but not least, he leaves behind his mother-in-law, Patricia Boone, of Belton, MO, who took him as her own child.
