Charlotte O'Donna Kite, 83, of Harrisonville, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Golden Years Care Center in Harrisonville. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug 1, 2020 at 11:00 am, with the visitation beginning at 10:30 am, all at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army.

Charlotte was born on August 2, 1936 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, a daughter of Charles O. Warren and Dorothy J. (Savage) Warren. She graduated from Manual High School in Kansas City, Missouri with the Class of 1954. After high school and during her early career days, she enjoyed working for Frances Gee Garment Company. Charlotte met Kenneth Kite and they were married on December 14, 1968. She went on to work as a typist and receptionist for the Marine Corps finance center for about 25 years before retiring in 2000. In her free time, she always had a love for sewing and crocheting and was an excellent seamstress.

Charlotte had a deep faith and attended church throughout her life. She will be most remembered for her faithfulness and for being an excellent mother and grandmother that will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind. As she enters into rest, her children leave their thoughts with this verse: "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'" – Matthew 25:23

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Kite, Sr.; her brother, Bill Warren; her grandson, Adam Walker; and her nephew, Charles Warren. She is survived by her children: Beverly Murphey of Oskaloosa, KS; Kenneth Kite, Jr. of Creighton, MO; and Barbara Vogel of Branson, MO; her grandchildren: Charlotte Gleason of Oskaloosa, KS; Amber Vogel of Branson, MO; and Greg Vogel, Jr. of Springfield, MO; and 4 great-grandchildren: Amelia, Zac, Lilly and Konnor.
