Charles "Chuck" James Noland, 78, Harrisonville, Missouri died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Masonic services will be held at 2:30 p.m. with funeral to follow on Saturday, February 8 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Visitation 1:00-2:30. Burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
Chuck was born November 9, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Ray Charles and Jewell Frances (Shockley) Noland. He was a 1953 graduate of Harrisonville High School and played on the 1951 HHS Mineral Water Bowl team. He married Pam Grier on May 3, 1991.
Chuck was a lifelong resident of Harrisonville, Missouri. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #41 for 39 years and retired from Yellow Freight 1994. He was also a member and Past Master, in 1972, of Cass Masonic Lodge #147, Harrisonville and the York Rite Bodies.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Ray Noland, his mother, Jewell Baldwin and one sister, Bonnie Scavuzzo Smith. He is survived by his wife, Pam, of the home; two sons, Ray Noland and Bruce Noland, both of Peculiar, Missouri; one daughter, Dianne Cowan, Harrisonville, Missouri; stepson, James Kline, Raytown, Missouri; stepdaughters, Lori Kline, Tallahassee, Florida and Kathi Kline, Stockton, Missouri; two sisters, Sharon Todd, Lexington, Missouri and Marsha Tierney, Sullivan, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; 5 great-grandchildren; and an uncle, Cleo Shockley, Independence, Missouri.
