IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Walter
Howe
August 5, 1944 – November 2, 2024
Charles "Charlie" Walter Howe, 80, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Golden Years in Harrisonville, MO. Funeral Services were held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO.
Charlie was born in Amoret, MO, on August 5, 1944, to Minor Lee and Lucille (Hinkle) Howe. He spent his formative years in Butler, MO, but called Harrisonville his home for the past three decades. On November 13, 1993, Charlie found love and companionship in Beverlea Edwards, and though she predeceased him on April 3, 2005, their bond remains unbroken. A dedicated member of the Coleman Baptist Church in Peculiar, Charles found solace and community in his faith. His legacy as a custodian at the State of Missouri National Guard Armory in Harrisonville spans over a decade before his well-deserved retirement in 2010. May we remember Charlie for his unwavering dedication, gentle spirit, and commitment to service.
Charlie is preceded in death by his wife, Beverlea; his parents; one sister; and a brother-in-law. He leaves behind his sons: Charles "Chuck" Howe of Peculiar, MO; and Danny Smith of Ft. Worth, TX; his step-son, Mark (Dottie) Bartlett of Harrisonville, MO; his sister, Betty Reynolds, of Harrisonville, MO; his brother, Don Howe, of Duncan, OK; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
