On Thursday, February 7, 2019, at home in Henderson, CO, Charlene Joyce Farmer, loving wife and mother, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 86. Charlene was born on May 16, 1932 in Arkansas to Bill and Lillie Mae (Barker) Lay. She married Luell Farmer at 18 years of age and started their family shortly after.

She was a cook at a hospital before devoting her time to be a mother and wife. Together they had Gary, Bobby, Sharon, Jimmy and Terry. Charlene loved gardening and being with family. She was kind and compassionate. Charlene was preceded in death by her father Bill, her mother Lillie Mae, her husband Luell Farmer, son Gary Farmer and daughter Sharon Cranford. She is survived by three children, Bobby, Jimmy and Terry. Several siblings, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A  graveside funeral service was held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at East Slope Cemetery 5011 NW Gateway Ave, Riverside, MO 64150.  A celebration of life will be held the following weekend on February 23, 2019 at 11989 St Paul St, Thornton, CO 80233 at 1:00 PM.
