Celestine "Sally" Cora Potter, 96, Butler, MO, died Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Medicalodge of Butler in Butler, MO. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Atkinson Chapel in Adrian, MO with visitation at 9:30. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Street United Methodist Church in Butler. Special thanks to the caregivers at Medicalodge.

Sally was born March 4, 1915, in Adrian, MO to Lewis and Dora Rogers. She was a homemaker, babysitter, gardener, camper, seamstress and fantastic cook. She could beat any of the kids or grandkids in checkers and loved playing cards. She was a member of the Ohio Street Methodist Church in Butler, MO.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 70 years, Charles A. Potter, Jr. and siblings, Betty Hunt, Scott and James Wesley Rogers. She is survived by son, Ronald L. Potter and wife, Mary Ann, Blue Springs, MO; daughter, Charlene Potter Bahr, Independence, MO; brother, Paul Cliff Rogers, Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Ronda E. Brown and Aaron Bahr; step-granddaughters, Tracey Eagon, Kristin Gaylord and Jennifer Guthrey and eight great-grandchildren.
