Catherine C. (Allin) Wessing, 84, Kansas City, MO, formerly of Drexel, MO, died Sunday, October 15, 2017 at her home. Services were held Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Contributions to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Building Fund or Scleraderma Research Foundation.

Catherine was born November 30, 1932 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Joseph T. and Margaret C. (Diibon) Allin. She attended Holy Name and St. Vincent's grammar school and Lillis High School in Kansas City. She worked at Scott's Dime Store while in high school. In 1951, Catherine went to work for BMA Insurance in Kansas City and worked as an administrative assistant for 36 years, retiring in 1987. She married Silas R. Wessing on May 11, 1968 in Kansas City and they were married for 36 years until he passed away on November 27, 2004. Catherine was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She also counted the church offering for over 20 years. She was also a Eucharist Minister to local nursing homes.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Silas; brothers, Joseph, John and George Allin, sisters, Anna Hart, Margaret Jaokbe and Dorothy Lee. She is survived by brother, Jim Allin, Lee's Summit, MO; sister, Jean Davidson (Fred), Springfield, MO; sisters-in-law, Mary Allin, Wichita, KS and Pat Allin, Raytown, MO, and nieces and nephews.
